" Guard your heart with the utmost caution " ........................................................ Dont let anyone break your heart You are much too good for that If someone deserts you for another Its because they were not worthy of you And God is teaching you a salient lesson Don't place your trust in someone else Just remember you are a winner You run the race yourself Its what you do my friend That really counts most of all If you give your heart freely and honestly You can never be a loser in life There is a counter balance to every action And a heartbreaker will pay the price in the end Their betrayal will haunt them Until the end of time One day they will realise The heart they broke was their own So regroup when everything is bleak There's another love awaiting you out there Be assured the sun will shine on you again Move on with confidence towards your goals All is possible when you truly believe So strike out with assurance dear heart And keep your date with Destiny faithful soul Copyright by Peter Paton 2006

Sounds like an answer to my poem 'Broken Heart' What you say is so very true - I wraped my heart up, after my divorce, many long years ago and many times before. We all go thru some hurt in life. I found the one I love thru my hurts and you know him also. I was given the gift of poetry because of this and I witness and honor him thru my work just as you do. I hope we can continue to keep in touch thru writing for the years I have left. I am a l92l child of God. Regards The Little Flower

The picture compliments these words so perfect. It says to me, patch yourself up like a patchwork quilt when love is tattered. Love is a word that has sewn many a stitch of definitions. Try this poem here of Peter's on for size. Above all, love yourself!
