Loved the intro Peter...somewhat in contrast to the message of your poem, a testametn to your character and wonderful advice. I'm a pretty upbeat person, tackling life head-on even in the most dismal situations...glass half-full, always looking for the best rather than being mired down by the worst. I do at times find myself the pleaser, trying to be too much for too many, and yes, it takes a toll. Never was a good delegator...have been burned too many times and, oh do I have my standards. But I am myself, all I can be...never one to hide behind a mask as too much of my personality and values would show through. I guess I've always been a self starter, even in the work I've been trusted to do. But you've addressed an issue I see so prevalent in life and even in poetry or a poetic community as hearts and minds are laid open and vulnerability runs rampant.

I compliment you on your suggestions and I hope you've managed to spur a few switches to flip in the process. A mighty and very understandable message in your inimitable, flowing style.
