Be careful when you turn your back and just don't have the compassion to care when you see others hurting and reaching out, for someday you may be reaching out yourself...

Hearts That Sigh

By Felix Perry

When you see someone is hurting

Do you just blindly turn away

Pretend it’s not your problem

Hoping they will do away

Is “Suck it up” or “Stop whining!”

A part of your vocabulary

Is your shoulder tear-free and dry

Bright skies all you want to see

Well friend I got news for you

If you’ll take the time to hear

Somehow though I doubt it

You’ll just say you don’t care

Someday though your turn will come

When your world comes crashing down

You’ll think your very life is over

That you’ve inherited a permanent frown

When teardrops roll like scalding rain

Who will hold you when you cry

It may just be the ones you laughed at

The sane ones with hearts that sigh…

" There, but for the Grace of God goes you", me and anyone who feels luckierthan thise who aren't. We have our days and nights and we are better than so many others in this world. Always know that Grace is why you eat, sleep and love well and your family is happy. We know what we have Fee...it is a full heart and a full heart is full because we can give some love away to those who need it. Resilliently...it fills again
Love you!

So true my friend...loved this line;

when teardrops roll like scalding rain

It is like that old cliche "what goes around comes around" I have found this to be very true, just as your write contains some valuable lessons and advice. Truly a wonderful write, enjoyed!

Someday somehow those heartless ones will know what real pain feels like....and then they will realize...that we cannot live "alone" and without compassion!!

We all need to have some compassion for others when they are going through a tough time, but there are times when being a true friend means giving them a kick in the pants, also. I have weathered many a storm in my lifetime and I am blessed with a strength that has always pulled me through, but it has been much easier when I have had a dear friend standing beside me when I felt that I was facing my darkest hour. Great job on this one, Felix, excellent message.
Take care,
Sherry

Felix,
One has to treat others as you want to be treated, otherwise, life in the later years may just be real lonely.
Excellent writing and thoughts.

Excellent, my friend...this is one I wish I had written.
How sad to see people with no compassion for others.
You are so right that those very people who was ignored
by them may be the very people who would help them if they
were in need. Compassion goes a long way in this world.
This one is a keeper, Fee.

Your friend, ~Linda
