I remember a conversation I had with my youngest not long ago about how kids dress today and said something like 'Yeah, I remember when the world looked at my generation the same way' and it dawned on me how true it was and how my son's generation will look upon the next in much the same way... Great piece Fee.

The problem is, time change and we didn't noticed; also, we didn't notice the weird look we did have when flower-power was around.
That mother arm in arm with a kaki dressed young man can have all the pride she wants and don't ever wonder.

great observations...and to remain open hearted with society's changes is a higher conscious indeed...by the way...I remember my mom having screaming fits at my choice of clothing or lack of... *grins* in my teen years.

In all our individualistic trials to grasp something of our own...we all seem like clowns years later. I love old pictures and just yesterday was unpacking memories and ran into some doozies. Big hair and fake eye lashes and trhin as Twiggy. That was me with focusing on walking the board one day.

That would be modeling down a runway.
WE have the same ideas today.

I loved this. Then I lol reading it. Because the times have changed. The year that is. Then I went back to the good old sixty's and remembered the jeans torn to bits, the beads, the weed, the psycodelic music. Was the one with the beard by the way Leon Russell.
I loved him. "Lady Blue," one of my favorites. Funny how we have to grip ourselves when we see the crazy styles, ect. My question is, will they someday outgrow it all, as a few of us did. Lol. We will have to wait and see. Fantastic write.

We should all remember the styles of our own youth and not be so judgemental about the styles of the present youth. But if I'm to be totally honest, holding your pants up with one hand so they won't be around your ankles makes me shake my head, too.

I think today's fashion reflects the apathetic, "I don't give a damn who I offend" attitude displayed by many. Sad. Everytime I see someone with the crotch of their pants hanging down between their knees and underwear hanging out, I want to give them the world's biggest wedgie and say, 'Do you wish you had one that big???' Haven't: yet. LOL And back in my day...sheeesh. We were Puritans compared to today's society! LOL Well done, (((Fee))).
