Beach Bums and Love

By: Fee

Kicking beach pebbles as the sun comes up

Drinking coke and rum out of a old tin cup

Looking for beach glass, a pretty shell or two

Something pretty that I can save just for you

Seagulls screaming at me where’s the food

Sorry buddies I’m just not in the mood

My baby left me and I’m just feeling bad

Those breakers out there only make me sad

We use to walk the sands on moon lit nights

Used to hold hands and just enjoy the sights

A cozy beach fire if the breeze get to cold

The ocean’s lullaby was just a story untold

You used to call me your sexy beach bum

I used to kiss you as we drank coconut rum

Now I don’t know just why you had to go

But this old beach bum sure does miss you so

So I’ll play my guitar at the local beach bar

Hope you will hear this song from afar

So you can meet me tonight after closing time

By the beach fire that was yours and mine

I'll be the bare foot beach bum dressed in tie and suit

waiting to propose to my beach lady who I think is so cute

Another photo catching my eye right away. Been to beach just yesterday, Peace and quiet abound there. While feeding the seagulls I surely did miss my Tom and now am a loner in life indeed.

I love the beach. It always gives me a sense of freedom and melancholy. (spelling)
Those are beautiful verses, Fee. Though they are sad, I still read your contentness between the lines.
Love ya,

Fee, my beach is west, way west of the Mississippi River and I understand why you love the beach. There is nothing so majestic as watching the Pacific roll up to our sandy home. Love that picture too!

Cheers,
Dan

This is so nice and vivid! I can see you there, Fee, in white shorts, barefoot, open cotton shirt blowing in the breeze, walking near the beach with a tin cup of rum!

...those of us who belong to the Beach Bums Union don't appreciate the term beach bum being used by non-beach bums...;) e

I'm amazed by how creative you are, Fee. You seem to never run out of ideas, and you must have more than one romantic bone in your body - because the romance is endless with you. Love the imagery in this one...very vivid. You've also created a laid-back, yet sad feel. Crafted nicely! Love and Hugs,
Sheila

Bravo!!

I walk my beach well..picking up some shell
Looking for some answers
But what a disaster,a heavy swell nocks me over
I cry out of laughter
Now I walk my beach with you Beach Bum...lol
My feet in your feet , My eyes is your eyes
Singing!!
