Slow country song...probably in Key of G,4/4, still working on it but thought I'd see if any suggestions...

Love at First Sigh (song)

Chorus: Little red hearts and daggered darts

             Initials scratched, on old tree bark

            Goodnight kisses and sweet dream wishes

           Stolen memories made in the dark

 

Some people say love’s at first sight

Well now I’m sure…that they are right

I saw you smile and my heart ached

And I knew I was too weak to fight

 

Love poems written in a dreamy state

Nothing is for sure all is left to fate

I’d give my heart and I’d trade my soul

For just one chance to make us whole

Mistletoe nights and romantic lights

Snowed in lovin’ on a stormy night

Giggles and wiggles and wake up tickles

Make up sex over some silly fight

 

As this world turns I’m hanging on

Whistling a tune and singing along

But if I lost you then I’d just fall

For you are why I sing my song

Woow I could hear the lyrics with some string guitar

I could just hear this sung! I really love the chorus, it definately has that great country feel to it. I love all of it, but the mistletoe stanza is wonderful :)

Don't listen to PeeWee, to me it would be in soft tones, like Leonard Cohen's, and yes fading softly away at the final, like a promise of returning.
