Stage Love
By: Fee
Dirty coffee cups and cigarette butts
Guitars slightly out of tune
Old Pickup trucks and not much luck
He often sleeps beneath the moon
The pretty girls, they dance and swirl
Empty long necks lined up in a row
Worn-out cowboy boots, forget the suits
He’s been told no roots will ever grow
Then a flash of thigh, grabs his eye
He misses a chord and drops a line
She smiles at him, he’s so lost again
She made it cowboy lovin’ time
After the song, he comes on strong
I’ll be finished here at three
I like your name, let’s play the game
Soft fingers talk on soft warm knee
Drums keeps beat and he feels the heat
Of a longing as she smiles at him
She looks fine in three quarter time
As the house lights go down dim…

Gotta love that old pickup of yours. We have a couple of old gas pumps like the ones in the picture. They sure make yer yearn for the past.
Love,
Becca~
You can just about hear the crowd and smell the stale beer and sawdust in this one. Very nice work.
I wonder what vintage those gas pumps are; looks like the ones we had when I was a kid. Cool pic!!!
