Just loved this picture for some reason...

Poem Artwork

four wheel romance

by: fee

those four wheels took us away

from childhood trappings

of that yesterday

when we rode country lanes

and city streets

to ice cream stands

and tasty treats

to days at the lake

to the movie show

we’d ride both ways

and watched love grow

a love would bloom

riding our metal steeds

when a kiss we shared

near roadside weeds

now they lay unused

lost in the dust of time

little whispered dreams

of when you were mine…

The nostalgia brings tears to my eyes. It was just like that in my home town. Great verse, Fe. I think the "Ozark Mountaineer" would publish it!

Very nostalgic, and very good, Mr. Fee. And I think you should dust them off, and head out again!

Ah I remember the days of riding my bike around my home town...yep to the movies, that no longer exists, & on the promenade bordering the beach back when but 400 people lived on our little island, no cars on the main street and only one police car...thanks for the memories those two bikes did invoke on this end...Ed & Rufuz
