another restless night no comfortable spot clock holding back time bed too cold, too hot in and out of sleep dreams come and go damp spots on a heart old tears, new tears flow a missing puzzle piece never again to be whole love can be like that play a role, a secret role morning comes again rise to face another day in this pretend world I made words to say, no words say unrequited

That last word, "unrequited," says it all. I can feel myself in this poem.

It seems that one is able to carry on during the day and only think about what needs to be done, this and that, etc.. but once it's time to sleep, your brain goes into overtime........no time and a half even! An "unrequited" love hurts bad. Keep your eyes on the road and stay in your own lane. You write so beautifully and are able to touch the hearts of your readers.

Many can identify. Since love has left my life to routine. My restless nights tend to be purely physical. When that physical pain is tended to, I sleep like a baby.
