 reality and heartache…

By: Fee

 

life once brought us together

a wrong place, a wrong time

still true love somehow connected

in a forbidden society crime

 

it was magic and moonlight

adoration in poetry and verse

only shared dreamland kisses

we needed no time to rehearse

 

but Mr. Reality is spiteful

eventually he always wins

heartache was the penance

we paid for our true love’s sins

 

now she’s rooted in her world

I’m rooted far away in mine

even though we’ll love forever

we’ll never again cross the line…

wow, sometimes words can bring to life quite a powerful love Felix, and since words are eternal, that love will live on, inside your story, nicely written very heartfelt. :)

You remain the master of love poetry. And I like your reference to Mr. Reality that sometimes dawns on us. Kudos for another great one.

You really struck home with a three year relationship that I had that is described perfectly in your last stanza. We are still loving friends and share family experiences.
