I am civilized
It is my right
To watch the smiling eyes
roll back in my succor
to die the little death
and surrender the life once nourished
to extend an angry fist
and lash out at that unknown
and rend it from its stalwart sway
as master of its home
to unseat that which cannot stand
and curse it enfeebled
to take of which I did not earn
and claim it as birthright
to ask for judgment not
and sit on council over all
to decry the foulness of fate
as my belly aches engorged
these are my privileges
these are my charges
I am an American
I am a savage
