Is it futility to be guided
by the benign?

So the general malaise she feels
is something else entirely

She's a predator, self proclaimed
and nothing for it, but the hollow echoes of the conquest just completed

only the pale scent of old cigarettes and the sour tang of cheap beer

She's an up and down girl, not much for sliding

Maybe just as well, things tend to end too quickly as it is

She can't remember the name...
something something and something

She can tell you what time it was when she knew she had him that night. When she was certain he would fall prey to a promise of passage

The sparkle is tainted with the faint blur of the lonely

and the door sits wide open

The smile waivers just slightly
with a tremble

She smiles and hunts
and cries and forgets

She doesn't question her actions anymore,
she acts on her curiosities
inevitably becoming one herself
