When a poet writes, a poet has the obligation to convince the readers of his/her expression in:
making a statement,
love,
anger,
joys,
and sadness.
It is often written from the poet's heart.
Some might want to make a political statement to make a point so that his/her voice can be heard.
Very often when given the chance
to tend to the construction of the poem, the points are left off being:
unheard,
unconvinced.
The poet's expression is not well-displayed. Somewhere through the construction of the poem, the true feelings and emotions, the true meaning of the statement are not being well-conveyed.
I would rather be a convincing poet, than to be a well-constructed poet.
