On June 14, THERSA, a neighbors sister died after a long battle against cancer. The family asked me to write a poem for her. She was from the Souix nation. I rewrote one of my poems for them..
The Native Americans believed
that an eagle flew so high into
the heavens, that its wings
touched the Great Spirits face and became sacred.
On the wings of an eagle
her soul takes flight
as she flys towards
the Great Spirits beckoning light
Her ancient ancestors
greet her with a kiss
making her welcome
in heavenly mist
Home at last
free from all pain
Our precious angel
will forever remain
INDEED, THE GREAT SPIRIT BECKONED...THIS IS A BECKONING ALL WILL RECEIVE AND NONE OF US CAN REJECT. FINE WORK, THANKS. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
The eagle a free spirited creature, and now Theresa's sister is off in the beautiful sunset of living life in heaven. Good tribute and memorial to her, Lois

Our culture has taught us to believe in many ideas which aren't actually real. Exposing these illusions allows us to recover the power to live our lives according to our deepest desires.
