Warm Holiday Wish
When come the snow and sleet
And days of damp and drizzle
We long for sunnier climes,
Make plans to sit on sand
And soak in the missing heat
We think our bodies crave.
A balm for the outside.
But what is left behind?
The comfort of familiarity,
A sense of belonging, the caring
And companionship of friends,
Family smiles of acceptance.
All that enwraps the heart.
Coals for the inside.
Happy Holidays have both,
In mutual, sustaining balance.
May yours be warmly so!
