Is a home site in any sense a "home"? My mind roamed through that question and came up with this poem. Cyberhome also celebrates the site of a new blog which I call "Whatever Works" Look for poetry, lyrics and idea pieces. You'll find all of that at charlesneff.com. C'mon over!

           Cyberhome

Today I built a new home

It only took a few hours.
I can add it to the collection

Of the multiple homes I possess.

Am I rich? In some ways, yes,

Just not like the guys with mansions.

My home’s address is on no street,

And its not a mountain getaway.

Okay, you can talk to me

At charlesneff dot com

And I can easily reply.

We won’t meet in person

Though we get in touch instantly.

Right now the place is empty

Though I hope soon to fill it.

Home is where the heart is

And part of my heart is writing,

Meeting others in words we share.

My new home is full of conveniences,

Though I can’t cook or offer coffee,

Pound on something solid

Or sleep in a real bed.

But I can enjoy company

Entertain and be entertained

In my cozy Blog Cabin in the sky.

Congratulations on your new domain and website! From experience, it sometimes takes more maintenance than a writer would like, but it can be quite rewarding to get visitors from all over the world.

Best of all you can change themes and colors, and move furniture around without straining a muscle. One problem though? Who looks after the garbage?

Good idea - keeps the tax base simple, improvements are inexpensive and don't require permits, it can expand or contract according to the number of visitors at any given time. Congratulations on your cozy cabin and a very friendly invite.

I am sure your new home will soon be crammed with everything you desire to be inside it. And yes, you are most definitely rich, sir.
