There is so much truth in this poem John, and it hurts so much to realize that truth is denied and ignored. Pride is the opaque veil that hides the face of God, and the ones who pass the laws are so full of it. Your last lines prophesy a disturbing future and inevitable results of "freedom to own guns". I am so saddened and grieved by the loss of young lives, but I'm also alarmed by the frequency of these killings. You said it will take only a miracle from God to reverse the spread of Darkness, and I say let's get down on our knees to cry out for that miracle.

Regarding weapons and our laws against them. I personally think no one needs to own an assault weapon but that's not the problem.
Large knives are available in every home in the United States.
Everyone in our country has a weapon than can kill another human being. However, not everyone can kill, even when angry because they know it's not right.
The truth is guns and knives do not kill people. People kill people.
People who have no respect for humanity find it all too easy to kill other people.
If we have no moral fiber, we are left standing on shaky ground.
If we push basic rules that respect the life of another into the trash, what can we expect? We'll unfortunately we found out.
If we don't stand for something we will fall for anything.
Superman himself used to be an idol for children, "Fighting for truth, justice and the American way."
The American way used to be based on the basic beliefs of the Ten Commandments and it did not matter if you were Jewish, Christian, Hindu or otherwise, Americans followed these basic truths.
Take this away and replace it with nothing and we have nothing to stand on. Nothing to believe in, nothing keeping a person from doing anything and everything because in his mind, anything goes.

I am sad to have to write this. I am further saddened knowing that to reverse this trend it will take a miracle from God himself.

You are so very right, John. I've seen this coming for many, many years; the decay and death of the U.S.A. from the inside. I'll say it again; it's time for the SECOND AMERICAN REVOLUTION. May God have mercy on us all.

The decay in our system seems to be the way now. I still think the lax gun laws are the culprit. But you are right my friend moral decay is a very large part...........GOD BLESS YOU.

and how I feel to the parents whose babies
were murdered. I fear suicide for some of them.

it's really hard pressed to keep exercising faith...I am speachless
& yet obviouly not...I hate this place, and yet I love the beauty.
