I sense a bit of too much focusing, zeroing in on, nit picking, perfectionist anal behavior. Most certainly, insane.

A little broad mindedness (my mind is always on the broads) and openness will clear away the politics of the day.

The lessons of history: Someday a politician will actually comprehend that there are lessons to be had by the study of history. We have seen the same mistakes repeated from ancient Rome to the early cold war. You would think that someone would get it by now.

Politics: Maybe it's the same because the human mind remains unchanged?

Listening too closely: Sometimes it's wise to disconnect ourselves from the body politic for a short time. Too many have gone to sleep too long though. Some haven't wakened themselves yet. Tyrants flourish when good men sleep.
