Hurricane Harvey restored our faith in our country once again. Years ago, Hurricane Andrew destroyed our home and almost every thing we owned. Still, we did not lose our lives thank God.

Thanks to all of the neighbors who went out to check on every home They saved men, women, and children; strangers they never known. Many people reached out and linked closely to help one another They united as Americans to save our sisters and our brothers. Praise to the rescue missions that helped the lives of so many They saved the homeless, elderly folks, mothers and little babies! Race, religion, and politics never once got in the way When folks need help, that stuff does not matter anyway! Praise to the citizens who helped out with their big trucks and boats They rescued so many from disaster and were a beacon of hope! This storm proved, when disaster strikes and shakes our country in any way We become a more loving nation united, a caring and compassionate U.S.A.! Amen! ©Sept, 2017, John Michael Domino

Some times in times of struggles and turmoil , people unite to help each other. I think of it as a gathering of kindred souls! I sincerely wish people would help each other more often so our world would be a better place to live in....M
