We see homeless folks on the streets almost every day. Many of us are almost there, just a paycheck away. It's a great feeling to help organizations that make a difference in many ways.
There are two great organizations we support in our town.
They care for the homeless 24/7 when no one else is around.
Love and Compassion Ministries helps pay their bills and bus fares.
Lucy's Love and Light Ministries feeds and clothes with tender care.
I have witnessed many people do a complete turnaround.
Some need kindness and enough to get their feet off the ground.
Love, hope, and compassion are what we all need.
Please consider joining a mission that helps to plant a seed.
More than ever, we all need help and love from Lord above!

I applaud your beautiful post and your gesture in giving help to the homeless. There are so many vulnerable good people who through misfortune in their lives have ended up on the street. We need to let them know that there are some good people who still care about them in this world.

It is really sad, with all the wealth we have in this country that our real estate laws and legislation meant to help get people off the street is often sidetracked by political lack of commitment. Often supported handsomely through political donations by the very people causing the inequity of income in our society that doesn't have to be.
Remembering fondly the vet in a wheelchair who volunteered to clean my wheelchair while I was waiting to catch the bus stopping at the Veterans Hospital only to change bus routes.
KUDOS to you and others who step up to help those in need! As a volunteer for Soldier's Angels, I support veterans, including those who are homeless, as well as deployed personnel and their families. We're all in this together!
