My brother Ron has a brain injury. These are my thoughts and feelings.Only 18 months ago Ron was a mine foreman with 250 men to look after. So hard to believe!! Luke
He's My Brother To My Brother Ron
You look at me,questioning, wondering. What happened? What's going on? Why can't I talk? Why can't I move? Help me! Oh my God Help me!
Anquish rips me apart. Can you hear me? Look at me! Why can't you tell me? PLease Lord,Oh I beg you Lord help him! I love him so much.God I can't help him.
Our father died when I was seven. he was just a baby never knowing our father. I became more than a brother.Friends forever. I was his hero. He was like a son to me.
Only yesterday,we laughed and had fun. Now he lies there staring at me. His eyes burn holes in my soul. My heart tears apart for I am helpless!
For six months now I go to the hospital. I pray and tell him he has to believe. I tell him God will heal him just believe. Oh God my own faith is weakening.
Another day,I'm tired but I have to go. He has no one else who realy cares. I can't let him down. Lord give me strength. I arrive and he's asleep. I sit and watch.
Everyone says I'm crazy. He belongs in a home. Even his daughter doesn't want me to. But,I have to bring him home. I love him. He opens his eyes. He smiles at me.
His wonderful blue eyes sparkle at me. "Ron" I say,"I'm bringing you home". His eyes widen. Joy spreads over his face. Thank you Lord. What else could I do?

Larry, I wanted to let you know that this tribute to Ron is beautiful and made me cry. I have enjoyed reading your poems, and the honesty within is truly touching. You have an artists soul and an amazing heart. You have done for Ron what no one else could , you face him each day unlike myself who longs for what was and laments the course this life has taken. It is a hard lesson to learn - to embrace each day and those around us as though it is our last. We never know if the words we speak now may be the last that are heard. ALL THE SHOULDA, WOULDA, COULDAS WILL NEVER CHANGE THAT NOW. I am glad for the times we had with Ron and I look back on these memories with both fondness and regret for what was and what will not be until God makes it right once more. Take Care, and may Jehovah God bless your efforts, and many THANKS where there are not enough for just being you.
The familiar lament of dual-career parents raising children is, "I just can't do it all." The Libra Solution provides an alternative - a more satisfying and sustainable work and life approach - to the overwrought modern day norm.
Let this coming of age story of a boy named Bean take you back to a simple time. Set in a small southern town in the 1960's, encircled by a river and gleaming white cotton fields.
THE CIRCUMSTANCES AND TIDES OF THE SEE OF LIFE.
"He's My Brother" is poemized with the emotions of the pain of
the soul, composed with words made of letters of love and gratitude.
