I Got Mad Today

I got mad to day

Why did I do that ?

I’m so sorry to say

Wish I hadn’t done that.

 

What is that alien force

That makes us lash out

Contrary to our normal source

Now I sit and pout.

 

Saying things we don’t mean

Spoken words that hurt.

Wish I had a time machine

Wipe out my words so curt.

 

Forgive me Lord

For being mean

Take this evil sword

I am your humble human being.

 

Some times I just stumble

Yes I am truly sorry

Forgive my stupid bumble

Please help me not to worry.

 

Now I’ll go and make amends

Ask forgiveness once again

On your grace that depends

Oh my self inflicted pain.

 

I won’t get mad tomorrow

It’s too hard on me

Who needs this stupid sorrow

No one I can see.

Great work,Larry,and I too have gotten mad; fortunately,it does not happen often,but it is good to know that we are forgiven when, as humans, we display the negative sides of our characters and personalities.

yes i won't go mad tomorrow...your poem made me cry cry....love this poem..it gets hard on oneself....the only thing is am scared of bad words...i dunno..i remeber Abba's Fernando... "and i'm not ashamed to say, that roar of guns almost made me cry.... " i love this song...i want to live....sorry to take your time and giving my coment...don't feel bad or sad...love is lacking in my house
