Liberation of the genie

Freedom from the bindings of  pedagogy

a sudden realization that it’s not for me

I’ve been knocking my head against the wall for what?

I can see the rejection in their eyes.

I failed to give the right answer.

or maybe they just don’t like something about me

and in the ebb of the tide something was left behind

on the soggy remains of my self esteem

the realization that they are doing me a favour

I am free to be me, as the cliché goes

it is a gift and for that I am grateful

and another leaving in the wane of the tide

the understanding that my writing may displease or scare them

The genie is out of the bottle

Boo.

I read this poem, and have learned from its message.
The boughs of this tree in the prairie of decision are long, and its leaves are of brilliant green providing a pleasant shadow to accommodate THE BOTTLE'S HOLDER and the "Liberation of the genie"

Keep posting, Poet!

What a great write on the liberation of one's intellectual, creative, and spiritual self. Have to respect a poet who can use the word "pedagogy" in the very first line:-) Enjoyed LIBERATION OF THE GENIE immensely.
