MEMORIES

How dear to my heart are
the scenes of my childhood
Like the pages of a book
they seem to unfold
and reveal to my soul
the quality of my life

I had good times and
I had some bad
Sometimes I knew
I had been had
When taking the punishment
that should have gone to another

Yet, through those bad times
we were made to tow the line
And I learned to love virture
for the sake of it alone
I knew someone was watching
from above

Somehow I knew that
I could not please everyone
so like the turtle
I withdrew into my shell

There I found confort
in the books that I read
and the one who loved me
more than myself
I began to pray
and there I found help

I tried to listen for His
voice in the wind
I love the swiftness of the wind
It is so much like the Holy Spirit

Sometimes He gathered
me up in a strong embrace
when I was ill or unhappy
I have His presence
even more today

For as I age,I become
like a child
I know there is no place
I can hide
And when He calls me
it will be for my good

I go into the dark night
but not alone
He waits for me there
and I will never more be alone

This is my faith
and with His help
I revealed what
is in my heart

I, too, am never alone. He spoke to my friend, and said your poetry is good - share it. Sooooo, share I've begun to do. The memories are many, but mostly what I like to share is how much God love me and each one of us.

I'm glad your 'Little Flower' brings such beauty to MY heart!
God bless you,
Kathy

My dearest Marguerite,

The beauty of your essence, is nigh the vintage of His presence.
What a magnanimous light He has created through you!

Shine on! You are a song and a blessing to all, Sister.
Much love and continued prayer always, Rhonda
