Love...where are thou?

When Dear John hits you between the eyes some piece of your heart just die and no tears can put out the burning fire consuming every shred of peace, illusion, hope, as we fall into a freezing void with no bottom and with no light at the end...

Poem Artwork

Dedicated to two of my brothers:

Felix LeRoy Perry
and
Walt Hardester

Thoughts storms, blowing, moving
the windmills of your mind
which will crush pieces of absence
that were encrusted in my heart,
…as the wind carry a small question,
“where are thou…my love?”

Sadness rain falling on a tin roof
covering a tiny inconsequence, oh my!
Letters burning in a lonely fireplace
a flicker of Hell when looking from afar,
…words that returned with a question,
“where are thou?…my love”

Desperate hours, the clock slaves,
unnerving desperation of desperate times,
a soul with a premonition of falling
will grab a straw with a desperate hand,
…when, where, how, with a question,
“where are thou?…my love”

You can torture the flesh with sadistic
pleasure, make the worm to wriggle and cry,
but the ethereal entity living within
will be indestructible there, the one…
…that forever and ever will ask the question,
“where are thou?…my love”

I don't think one ever gets over a "love" gone astray. Thank you, Georg. Love and peace,

Wonderful write Georg. If you're the rejector you soon forget. If you're the rejectee (is there such a word?) you never forget.

Wow, first of all I am honored and pleased for the dedication and especially to be called brother to such a talented and(deep down) kind hearted man. You romantic nature rises to the surface in this one like cream separating from milk. Anyone and everyone at some point suffers the feelings so well described in this one Georg...perfect write.

Many have the love...then throw it away, then find another, and throw it away Etc..... It seems the ones whom really have the love are the ones in pain and ask, "Where are thou my love"
Deep romantic read.

What wonderful descriptive language Georg, esp. "Desperate hours, the clock slaves", Where are thou?... my love...... I have waited for an eternity.....Absolutely beautiful my friend!,
now the only thing I don't understand is the dedication, I did'nt think you were that kind, truly, not that it matters, really!

My romantic love is in Heaven. So I don't mind that I have noone no more. Don't want another. Just memories of him always. Good poem though and so sorry love went astray for some.

“where are thou?…my love”

A question I often asked myself after my first marriage crumbled, but thankfully, there was a morning after.

And please stop shocking brother Jersey!
