Today, this very Christmas, Santa will receive many thousand letters like this one, hope that my country can get a little miracle so this Christmas woulndn't be a sad one.
Little we knew at 2007 Christmas that this poem will apply one year after...
dear Santa
tonite is xmas and you
gonna very busybe
droppin all the presents
but please no one to me ,
dad lost is job
so we haven't a xmas tree
and because ee can't pay...
...no electricity ,
mom want to do something
but she is very sick
please Santa make her well
I be good boy, I promise ,
and to my dad a job
if you can give
to them this xmas present
I wont expect one for me

It is trying times today and recession is in. Many kids will not get what they wish for. Many will be let down, but the truth of the matter is not the gift giving, but letting the children know there is a God who will take care of them and let them have their every needs taken care of. Many children have parents who do not know the Lord, so they feel left out of the crowd wihout knowing the reason why either Bad economy hurts everyone of us.
We have crossed path again Georg, I was just writing Starry eyed, did copy, and while I was on the AD checked out all my friends stuff, your most touching poem, I was asking the question differently, but it comes to the same conclusion.Blessings!

oh my a real tear jerker, Georg! Santa will have
a difficult time filling this order !
You've done an outstanding job of writing in a little child's voice Georg. That's very difficult to do. The world is filled with negative thinking, and that's the first thing we have to change. Where and what do we do from here should be our uppermost thought.
Sadly there will be more children like little Jimmy this year, we all need to share with the ones who are in need and to remember that Jesus is the Reason for the Season! HUGS! SC
I don't know Georg, but we seem to be heading for a fall in this old country of ours, & you have penned just what a 9+/- year old might feel & wish for this Christmas...hell, I think I will write to Santa and use the same idea, as the rent is due today and I have but one fourth of it...good write, Ed & Rufuz (w00f)
Amazing, and so very sad, that letters to Santa just like this were being penned by children way back in the Great Depression. And now, today, with all our so called 'modern progress,' they are being penned again.
