Hard to put a finger on it, drama? life? regret? what if? or just a sad meditation of someone sitting in a corner waiting...and wondering if it will be a us on the other side...
We were young, once, so long ago,
that memory falters, we can’t today
remember…how it was…
The caress on a juvenile softly cheek,
our hands, can they remember the touch?
Or they did know you inside the dark,
light wasn’t needed, as the fingers “saw”
I am contemplating the empty chair,
the one you sat as we were getting old
and remember that gentle smile that you
had to calm my sadness with love.
The house without you is empty now,
somber cavernous space without a voice
and the echoes of your busy steps
as you were collecting children’s toys.
Once, on one happy spring I remember
around your head was a flower’s crown
and smiling you ran into my arms saying,
I love you! I love you and I love you!!!
Eyes of a man waiting for final wings
can’t seems to see your photo anymore,
they seems to drown in blurring waters
feeling sorry for myself, you left me alone.
Can absence kill all the garden’s flowers?
Can love with time wither because is old?
Or we are chained forever to that heart
that will not die as long there’s a little love?
Everyday I extend my arm, offered hand,
expecting to feel the softly grabbing yours
to take me to where not man has ever been
and teach me, all over again, about love.
Oh! my beloved one, time’s a cruel mistress,
why, I asked, you need to be the first to go
and left me with an empty and wrinkled heart
that’s withering, because there’s not a us.
As the body wears thinner, the soul shines brighter and a withered heart, though seeming to die within its own soil, will break free of its dry husk and reunite with the source that feeds it. The tree that grows from such a seed of Eternal Love is evergreen and unable to be felled, outgrowing all others in the forest. This is the little homily that came to mind from reading your poignant and deeply searching words expressing such enduring lives, times and connections. Poetry is your first language, Georg. xx
Oh Georg, such a beautiful piece you have written, I am listening to Gato Barbieri, and it is setting the mood "She Is Michelle" is playing, and I can feel your passionate soul crying out to your loved one. So much time and so little time, which do we have?
Lovely work as always,
Peace, love, and light,

I couldn't stop the tears. Georg this is so honest and so beautifully penned. So deeply touching I hardly know how to properly do it justice in a review.
my heart echoes in this silent stillness for the man whom cannot hold his hands upon her-his love-his life-her...of all our joys & the preciousness of all the good feelings...oh the other emotions do run just as deep in a different direction...and your offering here expesses this with intensity of emotion...tears well
Peace & Blessings
