my pen is quiet
and yet my heart beats
I know not what to make of this
I want to scream
the
passion within
and yet it is squelched
bridled
yet
I go
feet laden
caged heart
and tend to matters of this day
all the things that cry to me
scream my attention
harness my time
for it is fleeting yes
it comes as the wind
and leaves a trace scent
of
glories
beyond

The pen is quiet but the heart still beats. Life continues--the pen just records those moments like a camera takes pictures. Excellent observations.
