A Romantic encounter on the beach

Just a Dream

The moon shone down upon us
where the ocean met the shore.
As we laid there on the sand
and dreamt of what's in store.

Gently blew the ocean breeze
that coolly kissed your cheek.
A chill ran through your body,
so I helped you to your feet.
I put my arms around you
in a strong and warm embrace
then gently brushed aside the hair
which had blown into your face.
In your eyes there was a longing
to feel your lover's touch.
I kissed your neck and whispered,
I love you, oh so much.
We walked along the shore
as waves came crashing in
While softly glowed the moonlight
on your alabaster skin
We paused for just a moment
 to watch this peaceful scene
Then you softly whispered,
is this really just a dream?
Awakened from my slumber
in this cold and lonely place
I close my eyes again
so that I may see your face

Hi Jaxson, or is is Ron, I’m confused. I’m assuming Jaxson is a pen name…. No matter, I very much like your work. I was surprised that you’ve been a member so long, yet I’ve only recently come across your name, but it appears that you post poems very infrequently. That’s a shame, because they are very good.

Although I never served in the military, many in my family have done so and I’m a very proud supporter of our military and I especially liked both of your military related poems. You are obviously very talented and I very much look forward to reading more of your works.

Nicely done, Dick

Very well done, almost felt like a trespasser or voyeur watching and listening in and the end...well...easy to relate to.
