All seek life’s essence,
Caught between that world and this

Coursing over lazy tongue
Sharpens expression;
The sway of mild narcotics
Feathering conversation

Tea in Lazuline China;
(Less superfluous)

Nothing is sacred
In a world of usurpers
Seeking to suppress
Tranquilities snow-white calm;
(Rigorous self-discipline)

An ascetic life,
Pantomime with platitudes,
All moderation
.
Swatting constantly,
Imagining a future
Freed from ego-flies
.
Tibetan secrets
Exposed through longevity;
This drenching beauty
Embracing all-knowingness
At the threshold of dying
.
To again regain
Subtle sensibilities;
One moment retrieved
.
Despairing (when grasped),
The horror of Shangri-La’s
Sacred proviso;
Conway stays amenable
In the High Lamas presence
