Fossil fuel generations
bedding the golden calf, in
an effort to birth the golden egg, to
be freed from the monster THEY created,

Apple pie humpers
(sordid self-expression)
given to self-aggrandizement
remain
quietly inactive,
give-a-shits
.
Morpheus hoards,
crossing luck fingers,
offer up contrived prayers
to ward off the next guaranteed
over-the-top disaster, that will reveal all
manner of incompetence, and reconstitute
what many have come to hold as rule,
.
Innocent at outset,
hearts soft and malleable –
and in a sense of pure purpose
preparing to germinate the hope
of bright tomorrows – young dreamers
espouse goodness, and in all faith press
collectively towards what is envisioned as
a means to an end greater than the
sum of its characters,
.
Remembering - in
blissful expectancy, and being
subject to the whims of lesser gods;
AMERICA (once) persevered in the idealism
of a nations unsophisticated components, while
young dreaming spirits posited anxiety in innocence
and pressed forward TOGETHER in the unity of innovation…
