Everybody knows the story of Aladdin’s Lamp. What would you wish for?

Hidden in a treasure chest I came upon a lamp that looked slightly green. I got a cloth and proceeded to rub the lamp hoping to make it clean. To my surprise a genie appeared and said, “You have three wishes; you decide.” “I know not what to wish for,” I sheepishly replied. “Wish for anything you want,” said he “but be careful for it will change your life.” I wondered; should I wish for riches or simply a relief from daily strife. I wished for a million dollars and I was now a millionaire. “Now,” I thought. “I will never have another worldly care.” “You have two more wishes,” said the genie. “What will be wish number two?” “I wish for freedom to go where I please and to do whatever I want to do.” “You just wasted your second wish for you are rich and this came with your treasure,” He said with a sigh. Said he, “be careful with your last wish and ask for something money cannot buy. I thought and thought but could not think of a third wish until I searched my soul to find. What I should have wished for all along was for my own peace of mind. What of you? If you had three wishes what would it be for which you request? Would you ask for riches or would you ask for love; if you ask for love you have passed the test.

Well, don't know what I'd wish for especially since I'd only get 3 wishes. But, I think I'd use your guide because it would certainly enrich my life.

What a profound write my friend, for love in one's heart will surely prevail over all the riches in the world. I often wonder if those that posess all the silver, gold, and money are not the loneliest people on earth. I wonder if those whom they think are their friends are truly their friends, is it their frienship they desire or their money? I think it would be nice to be comfortable and not struggle financially...but I have found through my simple life that many struggles have kept me on my knees and helped me to rely on the Lord...great write my friend...wise message!

Lew, thanks for sharing this and it makes one ponder just what is relevant in life and for what cause shall our choices be. this gives greater insight to how we preceive our inward self. outside and material thinks always fade away, but what we need within our own souls is forever. thanks again.
