My grandson still needs a night light when he stays at our place. He seems to feel there is some creatures who will come in if he does not keep them away with the light. I used to when I was a child. Now I know the joy of nature as seen in sunlight and in moonlight.

Poem Artwork

To some the darkness descends as evil in the night.

They feel it in the shadows hiding out of sight.

Hence ghosts and goblins and evil spirits come to mind.

Hiding in the dark are werewolves and fearsome creatures of all kinds.

As for me, I see peace and quiet as night creatures take their stand.

An owl sets upon the branch of a tree in the woods as other night critters roam the land.

In the summer I love the sound of thousands of crickets singing their merry song.

I watch the moon rise in the east and the stars that glimmer all night long.

I fear not the darkness even though my eyes do grow dim at night.

I fear not the darkness for I walk with the Holy light.

If you walk through the darkness of night with Jesus by your side

You know the joy of his glorious love that with you will forever abide.

Though I love the light, I do not fear the darkness. "Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow ..."

Love & Light always and in all ways,
