Yea, youve reminded me how I miss John's singing, he was a real country-folk songwriter without all that Nashville tinsel! A true wilderness-mountain poet in song. I'll have to stop by the music store and pick up a collection on CD again (all my old stuff like his is still on unused LPs) You write good poems for mainly a Novelist!

I, too had my problems with Denver, but one thing I could not deny, the man could sing his ass off . . . Very good poem, Ron . . .
I met this man in Texas. He was just as you saw him with no pretrnse and no holier than thou. He was a humble man who made everyone around him comfortable and in awe of his voice and heart. He was a private man but would offer aid to those who needed him. I had the impression then that his heart ached for someone far away and that he'd made her untouchable....even to him. In all the time I spent with him he will live on as a kind man with a special gift of spirit and to this day, I know he still lives among us.
