Ron, I was going through your massive list of poems, and this one just happened to catch my attention. My wife and I are sitting in our kitchen. I just finished off a muffin, and I'm now having my second cup of coffee. She asked me to read your poem to her, so like the good husband, I obeyed. It reminds us of our first trip to Nova Scotia and all its wondrous beauty. It was the first two weeks of October, following 9/11, so naturally we were reluctant to fly. Needless to say, we went anyway, and because of the magnificent fall foliage, we realized it was meant to be. Your piece reminds me of all the innocence of youth, and when all was well with the world. It simply makes me want to revisit my own childhood. Lovely write, Ron. Nature is still the best artist of all.
Very vivid. It reminds of some childhood trips to see family in Mississippi. You just described those memories. I don't have many good memories of my childhood, but this brought a few of them back to me, thanks you.
Lovely memories; you have recalled, recreated, and shared the ambiance of the experience very effectively with these verses, Ron. Thank you. Love and peace to you,
Been there and done that too, as a kid. Oh it was so serene, so captivating, the colours so tantalizing. It's no wonder that I have painted so many autumn scenes. Thank you for this trip down memory lane. J'nia
"Oh Your words took my hand and walked me
through such a beautiful journey reminding me how
I love just packing up some sandwiches
And take off to enjoyed the beauty of nature
Your words captured such beautiful vividness and painted
a fantastic canvas of the beauty of fall!!
Outstanding writing!!

yes! -- many weekend adventures with my family, my wife two girls and I -- fall, along the spine of the Appalachians -- picnic lunches and the sound of the Shenandoah River bubbling near the picnic tables -- life so sweet -- life so marvelous -- life in nature's retreat -- you've captured it all in your magnificent poem, Ron -- thanks -- JMW

You took me along on that beautiful walk, Ron, the only thing missing was sliding down a hill of spent grasses on a waxed piece of cardboard. Excellent images and an overall peaceful feel to this wonderful offering.
Take care,
Sherry
Very picturesque setting with this photograph. What a wonderful journey you have taken us on, one that I enjoy going on at every chance. Nostalgic but very beautiful...
Ron, this wonderful poem has taken me back to my childhood days, when my family's favorite and most affordable Sunday afternoon treat was a long leisurely drive! Thank you!
A wicked Cajun Fairy named Robes Pierre entered the impenetrable Magical doll land of Sha Bebe. Queen Faustina, the ruler of the doll land, thought she had destroyed him, but he's back! Will the doll land survive his evil ways?
The familiar lament of dual-career parents raising children is, "I just can't do it all." The Libra Solution provides an alternative - a more satisfying and sustainable work and life approach - to the overwrought modern day norm.
