My friends seem obsessed with death these days.

Morbidity

Fear not for your morbidity,
for when you're done, you're cooked.
Put all your stock in liquidity,
and then you won't be overbooked.

For sure as death and taxes,
taxing will come first.
Followed by that yearning,
of that unquenched thirst.

Life is a wonderful journey,
with many paths to follow.
Why focus on pain and suffering,
emotions that ring so hollow?

The sky is still not falling,
and the birds still love to sing.
Why all this talk of death,
why not one last fling?

The decay of death is reeking,
and heavy on the soul.
plan to go out smiling,
with a life lived to the whole.
