Looking back at a life well lived

Remembering Times

There were times in my life,

That were so unique,

Their memory is sharp,

And to me they still speak.

Of the good times that came,

And the good times that went.

Serendipity that brought them,

So magically sent.

Encountering great people,

Without any effort or attempt.

Just coming upon them,

As I came and I went.

Through a life that was so varied,

That I have to recall and relate.

Every adventure I remember,

Before it becomes too late.

I like the concept of the ‘times’ “came and went,” and ‘you’ ‘came and went,’ — it gives the movement of life. I favor reflective more than projective. ‘The good ol’ days.’. ~~ djl

We should all be so fortunate as to be able to look back on a life as interesting and well lived as yours.

As we get older, it’s something I think we all do…
Take stock, and wonder how the Universe arranged
some of the wonderful and magical things that
happened on our life journey and so it continues…

Diana..🌿

Your poem beautifully captures the fleeting beauty of cherished moments and encounters that give shape and meaning to life. We need to hold on to our memories before they fade away. An ode to life before it slips away. Nicely done.
