A 3000 mile journey from the Gulf Coast to the upper Midwest and back in August with lost air conditioning.
I wrote this poem after a trip we took from Houston to North Central Wisconsin to be with my family for a week and back. The flower was drawn by my partner, Beh. It was one of the first scans that I made with an Apple Scan 1. I later colored on my computer with color capability. The butterfly was one of the stock images on the computer at that time. Images have become so much easier with AI.
I just came across this poem among my papers. Had forgotten that I had written it.
This story is vividly expressive and beautifully crafted. The imagery is so strong that it feels as though I was right there on the drive myself.Though I'm not that brave, would have probably booked a flight.
SOUNDS LIKE IT WAS A TRIP WHICH WAS MORE THAN WORTH IT!!! INDEED, YOU WERE TWO BRAVE SOULS AND I AM DELIGHTED THAT GOD WAS WITH YOU...ROUNDTRIP! I WOULD HAVE OPTED FOR THE PLANE, THOUGH I REALLY DON'T LIKE THEM AND 'SLEEP' THE ENTIRE FLIGHT. THANKS FOR SHARING, MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
