late in the day but....

Thank You


 


Thank you Mr. Washington


And Mr. Lincoln, thank you as well


For your life’s examples tried and true


Of honor and honesty, justice and right


 


Attributes all to rare these days


Foundations on which to build a nation


You could see well past your every day to day


To pave the pathways to what we hold true


 


 


Truly you two, heroes to this country


Deserve this honor bestowed this day


We would do well to adhere to your values


Lest our foundation become shaky

Going back a bit Karen, thanks for shedding the mystery and bringing back a little history. I just remember seeing something about Lincoln on tv about where he use to go to relax. They're talking about restoring it

Wonderful tribute Bravo, but I think Rome is burning, and I don't see a bucket( citizens) brigade, trying to put out the fire.
