(Rainy days and Mondays....)
Water falls, Sliding like crystal beads down the canvas of my flesh. Iridescent moonbeams caught in transition from fae to faux. “Forever is a long time” you whispered as you walked out so I stand in the warm rain and some of the drops add salt to the wound.

::gapping "aw" and "oh" mixed together::

*THAT* is poetry. It has mystery, intrigue, attention-grabbers, a good title, unique form yet still "in the box" and no obligation to rhyme lies there. That is definitely what we call modern day poetry.
