Elizabeth Dunford has been fighting leukemia.   Her mother, Michelle,  has been journaling the battle through ups and downs, victories and setbacks.  This is her entry today:

Day 325

On Monday, March 17,2008,  Elizabeth was diagnosed with Leukemia, today on Monday, August 17, 17 months later she has gone home to be with Jesus. All your love, prayers and support have carried our family through this. Please continue to pray for all of us. I will update with the arrangements. All my love and thanks, Michelle

I sent the following, along with my love, prayers and sympathy for Michelle, her husband DJ, and two little boys.

     With a huge smile, Jesus reached out His hand to welcome Elizabeth.   She only hesitated for a moment before she reached toward Him, and He bent down and lifted her in His strong arms.   As soon as she was in His comforting arms, she gave Him a big, lovey hug, completely unafraid, and snuggled close as Jesus began to sing a happy melody just for her. 
    
     A tiny smile began to turn up the corners of her mouth, growing, and curving her rosebud lips until she and her Friend broke into giggles together;  then, as the giggles became peals of laughter, they could see bubbles of joy floating high in the air, making tinkling sounds, as though the angels were playing giggle-tunes on musical bells just beyond the nearest puffy white cloud.      Elizabeth was home.
