I cracked the door
and in slithers a lizard
She assumed I said welcome,
come in.  She entered
and went on her merry way.

Now, I was'nt standing there
I was up in the air.  Thinking of
what to get to steer her out of
here.  We scampered around as we
were running from each other,
until I got tired and took a break.

I forgot about my unwanted guest
until yesterday there she was,
still and hiding on a kitchen knife.
For once in my life I was quiet.  I picked
up the nearest thing at hand, a bottle
of roach spray.  It could not hurt her.

I sprayed until she fell in the sink
a paper towel did the trick.  In her
own environment she has been placed.
I stood and watch, soon she scampered
away.  I'm happy she's okay.
