Music is a soothing balm. Creating and nourishing a delightful mood Feeding one’s emotions turbulent or calm Filling a virtual living hunger like food.
Music takes you on a return journey To the many places you have been A glorious rapture of vicarious reminiscence Through memories to cherish again and again
Music calls up good and bad feelings You thought age had buried and put to rest Allowing you to relive the passions of yesterday In remembered heightened sensibilities at best.
Music takes you to other parts of the world Capturing the splendor of people, and beautiful places Lovers caught up in romance and pleasantries Delight and happiness stirring in excited faces.
Relishing a potpourri of shared intimacies Bringing the whole world within their sphere, In images of captured feelings of sweet gratification The kind most anyone would hold dear.
Got some time on your hands When stress urges you to meditate Listen to the music to discover its beauty At early morn or late.
Dance to the music Swirl gracefully on the floor In the pretended arms of your lover Until your feet are sore.
Find joy in the music The beautiful rhythm of melodic art, The highs and lows of passion From musical voices that impart
Share the music Try writing your own if you dare Pen the lyrics of your sweetest poem Add a melodious tune to share.
Always remember the parallel That if sunshine can shine through rain Then lovely music can touch the soul And ease the heart of pain.
...AND YOUR WORDS WERE PURE MUSIC TO EAR...A MELODIOUS WORK DESCRIBING 'MUSIC' SO ARTFULLY. WELL DONE AND ENJOYED. THANKS FOR SHARING AND GOD BLESS. JOYCE*HIS INSPIRATIONS
You have beautifully captured the essence of music, the feelings that it elicits, and the need to keep music in your heart.

"That, if sunshine can shine through rain.....lovely music can touch the soul." So true. Your words touch the musical part of me and I sense the freedom that listening to music and writing music gives freely to everyone. Music to soothe the savage beast.....
My best regards,
Chris
