Dedicated in memory and honor of Petty Officer First Class Jon "JT" Tumilson, U.S. Navy S.E.A.L. and his Loyal Best Friend, Hawkeye. Many of us have known the love of a pet, a few of us have known the loyalty of a dog, but, very few of us have known the love and loyalty of a Best Friend like Hawkeye.
Hawkeye, you brought love and faithfulness to your master. Joy to his heart with friendship to his kindred spirit. Gifts too easily quantifiable by most. The love in your heart was epitomized with one photograph showing your loyalty.
At the front of the service laid your master. His casket closed, draped with the Stars and Stripes. As if you were the only one there with him, you walked to the front and laid down beside him. Refusing to leave him, we watched as you said goodbye to him. Our hearts wretched as on that cold shiny floor your pain was immortalized with one quiet sigh.
Never in human history has such loyalty and devotion been shown with such a simple sound. May your heart remember the love of your master always and be made whole when you rejoin "JT" after this world.
