What will beckons a toilsome lot?


Tender mercies, tender memories; life’s infirmaries,


Spilling sociolinguistic harmonies; life’s wrought,


Articulate, clever twisted, burning; Immaculate


Shine on!


 


I heard your laughter; I felt your pain,


I shared your passion; dreamy loves, insane (clinically)


Shine on!


 


Hegemonic hedonisms, the rule of late,


Plumbing erotic depths, cries of mortal fate,


  Querying body/ mind/ spirit,


Crafted cleverly; or ya jus smear it.


Shine on!


 


From promenades to accolades; behold a shrine,


Multitudinal faces from diverse places,


Trumpeting posie, bold, whacky and kind,


                       To the jokers, one eyed jacks, queens & aces.


Shine on!


 


Slithery sleuths, oh decadent muse,


Praising lords, clashing swords, cosmic noose,


Crushed petals, pungent essence wailing,


Upon languid pools of conscious craving!


Shine on!


 


Excrement, excitement, literary enslavement,


Corridors of echoes, torn from life’s masterpiece,


Illusive illocution; illuminating Iliad’s,


Creaking cloaked calluses; contemporary crooners.


 


SHINE ON!

I enjoyed this poem although I must admit I too am a little ignorant as to what some of the words mean. Never mind me, I'm just a dumb blonde! Great write though and very powerful, love Theresa.

this is fab! i have no idea what some of the words mean, but they roll so nicely off my tongue that i don't think that it really matters. yes, i am as ignorant as everybody else, i just dress it up in finer clothing :)

This is just Damn exciting! Shine on really says alot. Hang a shingle out HJ...I could lay on your Jungian couch all day, pay for a therapy session with no Freudian slips...transformation diverse and the philosopher's stone...this is a Dylan moment...everybody must get stoned...this is the line that makes me want to stay--->
