Anyone for Chess?

~*~

He doesn't know how to play solitaire

Guess his taste has too much flair

He said at games maybe we'd both win

At least that made me grin

I can see him now, drawing his sword

In a new game knights of the Den table

I promise I won't say a word

If he can't draw as quick as I'm able

He is such a fine writer of verse

His passionate phrases smooth as butter

With him there is nothing terse

His love poems make lassies hearts flutter

Wonder if he knows the card game "go fish"

I'm a  Pisces, there's two of me to snatch

I can see him now making a wish

Not knowing which one of me to catch

great humor with a sword Eileen,
isn't poetry nice,
we can freeze like ice,
tease to a slice.
Do love,
push and shove.
Hate and relate,
become soul mate.

All with a pen,
here in the den.

Once again, Eileen, you have made us laugh with joy over your clever poem. The only card game I like is Solitaire. I think that says a lot about my personality.

Yes Lady Eileen, you are a Pisces. If I remember correctly we share the same birthdate.
Now go entertain the lad of games, just take it easy on him.
Love your humor!
