i have to agree with most you have said in this beautiful and insightful poem ... i think if we really want to, we can know what's in god's mind , after all we are created in "his" image so "he" can observe "himself" in us, as well as the trees and all creation... hate only belongs to this planet ... man is a universal creature and we mustn't forget of the strength and love present within his nature ... we just need a lot of catching up to do ;)

This is beautiful Eileen....when clearing roads in my work, I always thought "if this tree could only talk "...I always made the logs milled into lumber,so the spirit of the tree would live on...not lay and rot or burn as firewood...It's a shame I couldn't always avoiding cutting them to begin with...Such a perfect write !

Stunning poem, but adds to my pain, I had ten oaks taken down these past few weeks, in my road, as after someone set fire to them, a wind of 87 would be a killer.. just a few more days after resurection day and i'll be back on here full time..thnx for the guilt complex..
Winnie the pooh, or is it er ore, as there 7 acres wood, in fact worth forest, is just up the road from me... never go there, it's a tourest rip off, but all you lovely lady's like tiggs reading this i'll take you for free, just be single and desperate..lol.. and can suffer an anglo accent...lol Tiggs I've lost the plot...

Your final two lines say it all, Eileen. Excellent words and wonderful graphic to let us see how we dwarf, not only physicially to nature, but in deed as well. I love the mighty redwoods, they take my breath away.

How so very true, Tiger Lily; yet, it is always said that we humans were created in God's image, and I find that thought quite disturbing some times.

And keep talking to those trees; they are very wise.

Eileen this poe is poawerful full of truths and lessons for us to gleam. The larger truth lies within these lines""Of all that Almighty God did create
Only humanity will feed on hate""
Jesus impressed over and over about the greatest gift is love. Paul being taught personaly through The Lords Hold Spirit continued strongly about LOVE. It took his life and two sticks to offer this gift. Oh that all mankind would trun from hate and greed and sin and just LOVE.
