Poem Artwork

You lure me with your wild ways
Come to me you wave of beauty
Pounce upon my willing anatomy
Caress me with the wonders you possess

You travel all over the world with glee
Your mystifying knowledge seductive
Weaving in and out of life's mystery
Allowing us to sail your many seas

Both gentle and deadly like all creation
Yet restricted by Creator as is mankind
But unlike humanity you obey the laws, or
you would have drowned the world by now

With force you pound your way over rocks
I watch your surf billow with fascination
You thrash and crash with such flamboyance
I'm thrilled to take a chance in your dance

It is wonderful to read such refreshing verse! I often wish I lived by the coast, though I could almost feel the sea spray as I read this. Thank you for sharing.

All of the tumultousness you describe is counterbalanced with the gentleness of the same placid water which only yesterday was a raging sea. There is something human in that, eh?
