August knows it's coming to an end
each day more hellish heat it sends
time to leave sweltering valley  behind
cool lakes in the mountains on my mind
aching for the refreshing breeze
that whistles through the pine trees
so without further adieu, I leave
praying all will be well with you

Beautiful write my friend...amazing it's been unusually cool here in the mountains the past two weeks...daytime highs only 80-81 and nightime in the low 50's. But looks like the heat is going to crank up this week...dread it! Thank you for your heartfelt review of my Boomer...I appreciate your thoughts and prayers as I know time and prayers will be a cure, but in the mean time it sure is lonesome in the evenings as my husband works 2nd shift....so I have a feeling that I will be spending much more time at the den, it's even hard to go into my garden as Boomer was always by my side there too....a beautiful write my friend, heartfelt and well written. Have a great and safe time, praying that all goes well!
Blessings from Ky.
