Who is Christ what do people say
Even if this was not His birthday
Can't we celebrate Him anyway
God isn't interested in the day,
God cares about what's in the heart
So if we believe, that's where to start
Santa, trees,gifts, and all the rest
Is nothing but tradition at its best
Cultural mistakes are hard to change
Our love for Him should not be estranged
So if materialiam has usurped this day
Let's not make our Saviour pay

Couldn't agree more, Eileen. I have come to hate Christmas. Santa has taken center stage and has made it gaudy.
Your right about the date. It was probably in the spring. But we honor JESUS on 12-25 and that is good enough. I appreciate this writing Lady Eileen. As always it was flawless.
Christmas - only days away; plastic snowmen and glowing reindeer adorn the lawns of neighborhoods all across America. All is calm, all is bright, and yet there is something tragically wrong about this Christmas night.
